MTC is looking for an experienced Modern Travel Coordinator to join our growing team as an independent contractor.

About Modern Travel Concierge
Modern Travel Concierge provides behind-the-scenes operational support to travel advisors and agencies across North America.
We help busy travel professionals take things off their plate — from quoting and research to supplier communication, quality control, invoicing, itineraries and everything in between.
Our goal is simple: help travel advisors spend less time buried in the details and more time growing their business and taking care of their clients.
We're growing, and we're looking for someone who understands the travel industry and enjoys being the person who makes things happen behind the scenes.
What You'll Be Doing
Every day can look a little different, but your work may include:
- ✈️ Airfare research, quoting and management
- ? Hotel research and quoting
- ? Itinerary and destination research
- ? Creating and reviewing client itineraries
- ? Quality control checks on bookings, reservations and travel documents
- ? CRM management and client profile updates
- ? GDS/CBO invoicing and documentation
- ? Communicating with travel advisors, suppliers and other partners
- ? Helping troubleshoot issues and find solutions when things don't go according to plan
- ⚙️ Following established processes while also helping us find ways to make things work better
- ? Supporting a variety of individual,
group and complex travel requests
You don't need to know everything on day one. What matters most is that you're experienced, organized, curious and comfortable figuring things out.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who:
- Has 5+ years of experience in travel operations, travel agency support, or a similar role
- Has experience working in luxury travel (our clients are high producing luxury travel advisors)
- Understands the importance of accuracy and attention to detail
- Has strong customer service and communication skills
- Is comfortable working with travel technology, CRMs, online booking tools and itinerary creation software
- Deep experience with Sabre GDS is essential
- Can manage multiple priorities without becoming overwhelmed
- Is proactive and doesn't need someone checking in constantly to make sure things are getting done
- Is comfortable working remotely and communicating virtually
- Has reliable internet and their own equipment
Most importantly, we're looking for someone who takes pride in their work and genuinely enjoys helping people.
A Little About The Role
This is an independent contractor position, so we're looking for someone who is comfortable working independently and managing their time. The role will begin as part-time.
You'll work remotely from anywhere in Canada.
As Modern Travel Concierge continues to grow, there will be opportunities to take on additional responsibilities and become an important part of the team.
