The OpportunityAs a Senior Commercial Farm Underwriter, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of farm property risks, either in a new business or renewal underwriting capacity. While previous farm underwriting experience is an asset, it is not required. If you have a solid understanding of commercial risks, we offer a comprehensive training program that will equip you with the technical knowledge and expertise needed to underwrite agricultural risks effectively.What To ExpectYou will be responsible for underwriting and servicing a national Farm and commercial portfolio.You will assess, accept, and decline new business submissionsYou will re-underwrite and negotiate renewals, and policy endorsementsYou will negotiate the terms and conditions of risk acceptance with brokers in writing, by telephone, electronic mail or in personYou will develop and maintain positive broker relationsYou will participate in production calls on brokerage offices, as requiredYou will provide technical support to brokersYou will build a pipeline for new and renewal businessYou will leverage tools, resources and reports to appropriately evaluate risks and make effective Underwriting decisionsWhat You BringUniversity degree in any discipline or a 2-year diploma from a publicly recognized and funded college or a completed CIP designationMinimum of 3-5 years of experience in Farm/Commercial Lines underwritingStrong customer service, verbal, and written communication skillsStrong analytical skills; able to quickly interpret data, information,
