$23.64 plus shift premiumPlease note this role is a contract role to start and is on a continental rotating shift (11-12 hour shifts rotating between days and nights).Job ResponsibilitiesSafely and efficiently stack sheets of steel into logs for packagingManually align and organize metal sheets to ensure proper stacking according to client specificationsSecure bundles using appropriate banding materials as requiredLabel and tag packaged products per client specifications and internal proceduresPerform quality checks to ensure the correct type, size, and quantity of steel sheets are packedMaintain cleanliness and organization in the packing areaFollow health and safety guidelines at all times, including proper use of PPEOperate forklifts or pallet jacks (if certified) to transport materialsCommunicate with Team Lead and/or Shift Manager to report issues, delays, or quality concernsComplete relevant documentation or checklists accurately and in a timely mannerOther duties as assignedQuality Knowledge RequirementsFollow Safe Work Standards and Job InstructionsFollow 200 Level Manuals as designated (calibration, document control, material substitution)Quality PlanQualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent (GED/CAEC) requiredTechnical or vocational training preferred1 year of experience in a manufacturing or production environmentPrior experience operating machinery or equipment preferredBasic mechanical knowledge and troubleshooting skillsAbility to read and interpret technical documents, blueprints, and schematicsFamiliarity with production equipment and safety standardsGood hand-eye coordination and manual dexterityBasic math and measurement skills (e.G., using calipers, micrometers, or rulers)Strong attention to detail and quality controlAbility to work independently or in a team environmentAbility to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasksGood communication skills, both verbal and writtenOrganized and able to manage tasks efficiently in a quick-paced environmentBasic computer skillsPlease note this posting is for a new position.
