Your future starts here.PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:Diesel Service Attendants are responsible for moving, fueling, cleaning, testing, and performing basic repairs on locomotives in a fast ‐ paced, safety ‐ focused environment. This role requires strict adherence to regulatory and safety standards while working both independently and as part of a team.The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, safety conscious, and enjoys hands ‐ on work in an outdoor setting across varying weather conditions. This position provides foundational experience with locomotive maintenance and serves as a solid entry point into CPKC's Locomotive Diesel Mechanic Apprenticeship Program, offering long ‐ term career growth and technical development.POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES:Refuel and sand locomotives while ensuring cab amenities are stocked for crew comfortInspect and perform basic repairs on locomotives, fuel tanks, and cab equipment to maintain operational reliabilityAssess parts for reuse or replacement, supporting cost-effective maintenance practices.Clean and service locomotive cabs, including walls, floors, windows, and toilets, to uphold safety and hygiene standardsTest cab electrical systems and safety devices, set up cab brakes per operational requirements,
