About the Opportunity

Our client is a growing specialist service provider supporting the Canadian wind energy sector. They are seeking an experienced Wind Operations Manager to lead field operations, support project delivery, and drive operational excellence across a national portfolio of wind turbine inspection and repair projects.

This is a hands-on leadership position suited to an individual who thrives in fast-paced environments and enjoys balancing operational management, workforce planning, client engagement, project execution, and business growth initiatives.

The successful candidate will play a key role in overseeing field teams, ensuring project readiness, maintaining safety and quality standards, and supporting the continued expansion of operations across Canada.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and oversee day-to-day field operations and project execution across multiple locations.
- Manage, mentor, and support team leads and field personnel while driving accountability, quality, and performance.
- Coordinate workforce planning, crew scheduling, mobilization, and resource allocation.
- Ensure projects are properly staffed, equipped, and prepared for successful execution.
- Track project progress, productivity, timelines, and operational performance.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients and act as a key operational point of contact.
- Promote a strong safety culture and ensure adherence to company and regulatory requirements.
- Support field quality assurance processes and technical reporting requirements.
- Monitor project documentation, inventory controls, and operational reporting.




- Identify operational challenges and implement practical solutions to maintain project success.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across field operations, processes, and communication.
- Partner with senior leadership on forecasting, staffing strategies, and operational planning.
- Support business growth through relationship development and identification of current opportunities within the renewable energy sector.

Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 5 years' experience within wind energy, field services, industrial maintenance, renewables, or a related technical environment.
- Proven leadership experience managing field teams, supervisors, technicians, or project personnel.
- Robust operational management and project coordination experience.
- Demonstrated ability to balance multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a practical, solutions-focused mindset.
- Experience with scheduling, workforce planning, logistics, mobilization, and resource management.
- Knowledge of Canadian health and safety practices and field operations.
- Experience supporting wind turbine maintenance, inspections, blade services, or related activities is considered a strong asset.
- Commercial awareness and an interest in supporting business development initiatives.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel as required.
