Responsibilities
Safely operate commercial trucks to transport freight over designated routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure proper functioning and compliance with safety standards
Load and unload freight using loader or other heavy equipment, ensuring secure handling of cargo
Maintain accurate documentation of deliveries, pickups, and vehicle logs for accountability and reporting purposes
Perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting as needed to keep trucks in optimal condition
Communicate effectively with dispatchers,



excavation staff, and clients to coordinate delivery schedules and resolve issues promptly
Follow safety protocols at all times, including proper securing of loads and adherence to hours-of-service regulations

Qualifications
Valid commercial Class 1 driver’s license or Class 3 (CDL) with a clean driving record
Experience operating heavy equipment such as loaders/excavators or other loading machinery
Knowledge of freight handling procedures and safety standards in transportation
Ability to perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting on trucks
Strong attention to detail for vehicle inspections, documentation, and load security
Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members and clients
Physical ability to lift heavy loads, stand for extended periods, and perform manual tasks as required
