Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Construction Surveyor to support layout and surveying operations for foundation and concrete works. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in ensuring accuracy for footings, walls, anchor bolts, and structural elements.

Key Responsibilities
Perform site layout and staking for:
Footings, grade beams, and foundation walls
Anchor bolts, embeds, and blockouts
Read and interpret construction drawings, shop drawings, and survey plans
Establish and maintain control points and benchmarks
Operate surveying equipment such as:
Total Station
GPS (RTK) systems
Laser levels
Verify elevations, dimensions, and alignments before and during pours
Coordinate with site supervisors, foremen, and engineers
Maintain accurate survey reports and as-built records
Ensure compliance with project specifications and safety standards

Qualifications




Minimum 2–5 years experience in construction surveying (ICI preferred)
Strong understanding of concrete and formwork layout
Proficient with Total Station & survey software (Trimble, Leica, or Topcon)
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and structural drawings
Knowledge of Ontario construction practices and site conditions
Valid G Driver’s License
Robust attention to detail and problem-solving skills

Assets (Preferred)
Experience in foundation and formwork surveying
Familiarity with AutoCAD or Civil 3D
Experience with robotic total stations
Working at Heights certification
