Gain valuable training as a Casual School Bus Driver with Rocky Mountain School District No.
Obtain up to 25 hours of paid training while working towards your full Class 2 license. This position in the Windermere Zone involves safely operating school buses to transport students. You will be responsible for ensuring student safety, conducting safety checks, and cleaning buses. The role requires effective communication skills, fostering a supportive atmosphere for students and adherence to safety regulations throughout your service. Key Responsibilities:
Safely drive school buses on assigned routes
Complete necessary pre-trip and post-trip inspections
Maintain cleanliness of the bus per National Safety Code
Promote positive behavior during bus rides
Educate students on transportation safety Requirements:
High School Diploma or its equivalent
At least 5 years of driving experience
Valid Class 5 Driver’s license in British Columbia
Annual driver medical examination
First Aid certification will be advantageous Experience a fulfilling role in student transportation safety with Rocky Mountain School District No. 6.
