Overview

Join our dynamic team as a Parkade Maintenance Person and play a vital role in ensuring the safety, cleanliness, and functionality of our parking facilities. This energetic position offers the opportunity to work outdoors and contribute to the smooth operation of a busy urban environment. You will be responsible for maintaining the parkade’s infrastructure, performing repairs, and supporting landscaping and general upkeep to create a welcoming and secure space for all visitors.

Responsibilities

- Conduct routine inspections of the parkade structure, including ramps, lighting, signage, and drainage systems to identify maintenance needs.
- Operate heavy machinery such as excavators for major repairs or construction projects within the facility.
- Perform landscaping duties including gardening, irrigation system maintenance, and landscape upkeep to enhance curb appeal.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools for repairs, carpentry, painting, and general maintenance tasks.
- Maintain mechanical systems by troubleshooting issues with elevators, lighting fixtures, ventilation units, and other equipment.
- Support construction or renovation projects by assisting with demolition, material handling, and site preparation.




- Ensure all safety protocols are followed during maintenance activities and keep detailed records of work performed.

Skills

- Proven experience with excavation equipment such as excavators or similar machinery.
- Knowledge of irrigation systems, gardening practices, and horticulture principles.
- Solid understanding of landscape maintenance techniques to keep outdoor areas vibrant and healthy.
- Mechanical knowledge related to building systems, electrical components, and basic plumbing.
- Proficiency with hand tools (hammers, screwdrivers) and power tools (drills, saws) for various repair tasks.
- Construction experience is highly valued for supporting larger projects or structural repairs.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in outdoor environments while adhering to safety standards.
