Duties

- Deliver engaging lessons in Pre-AP/AP Chemistry and Biology, aligning with curriculum standards and exam requirements
- Develop and implement creative instructional strategies to meet diverse student needs, including those in special education programs
- Assess student progress through assignments, tests, and projects; provide constructive feedback to promote continuous improvement
- Support students with tutoring sessions, helping them master complex concepts in science, math, computer science, and related subjects
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and student performance data




- Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages active participation, collaboration, and respect among students

Experience

- Prior classroom experience teaching Pre-AP/AP Chemistry and Biology at the high school level or equivalent educational settings
- Proven experience working with children or adolescents in an educational or tutoring capacity
- Strong background in science disciplines such as chemistry, biology, or related fields; familiarity with math and computer science is a plus
- Experience providing support for students with diverse learning needs, including those in special education programs
- Excellent communication skills to effectively engage students, parents, and colleagues
- Proficiency with computer applications relevant to education technology and classroom management tools
- Demonstrated ability to create an inclusive classroom environment that promotes learning for all students
