Candidates must be adaptable and willing to work various shifts, including nights, days, and weekends, to meet project demands. Embracing a work schedule that supports continuous safety oversight is essential to this role's success.ResponsibilitiesResponsible for training project employees on a variety of project and Safety related programs such as, Work at Heights, Heavy Equipment Operation, Hoisting and Rigging, Confined Space Entry, First Aid, Elevating Work Platform, Forklift Operation, Human Performance, Supervisor etc.



This training will include all relevant tracking and documentation required for each programProvide timely feedback to management and supervisors in regard to employee competency as it relates to the training programs providedParticipate in training team meetings and training-related projects such as the development of new training courses and programsPromote a positive safety culture that supports continuous improvement through active communication, participation and development of skillsSupport project specific conventional safety and environmental management plans and procedures including; inspections, audits, observation and coachingSupport Human Performance program activities and act as an advocate for Human PerformanceTechnical resource for jurisdictional Occupational Health & Safety Acts, Regulations and applicable standardsOther duties as assignedQualificationsRelevant Post-Secondary education or equivalent experience in the Training, Construction, and Health and Safety fieldsExperience in New Build Construction as assetA working knowledge of Provincial OHS Legislation including construction and industrial regulationsExperience in facilitating or training large groups using adult education practices and principles (e.G., ADDIE, adult learning theory) an assetExperience with Human Performance programs considered an asset.Train the Trainer Qualifications in programs such as Work at Heights, Confined Space Entry. WHMIS, First Aid, etc.,
