Job Summary

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Robotics Tutor & VEX IQ Competition Coach to lead our robotics program. In this paid position, you will inspire students (mostly Gr6 to Gr8) through hands-on robotics instruction, develop their technical skills, and coach them for VEX IQ competitions. Your role will be vital in cultivating a passion for STEM, teamwork, and problem-solving among our students.

Responsibilities
Deliver engaging classroom instruction on robotics concepts and VEX IQ building techniques
Prepare students for local, regional, and national VEX IQ robotics competitions
Guide students through the design, construction, programming, and testing of robots
Foster a cooperative learning environment that encourages creativity and critical thinking
Track student progress and provide constructive feedback to support skill development




Coordinate with school staff to schedule practice sessions and competition participation
Promote safety protocols during all robotics activities

Qualifications
Prior classroom experience teaching or tutoring STEM subjects or robotics preferred
Strong knowledge of VEX IQ robotics platform, programming, and engineering principles
Passion for mentoring youth in STEM fields with an energetic and motivational approach
Excellent communication skills to effectively engage students of diverse backgrounds
Ability to organize activities, manage time efficiently, and motivate teams toward success
A background in teaching or coaching robotics or related STEM programs is highly desirable
