A Lift Mechanic is a certified Millwright working full time in a busy role, helping to ensure that all the chair lifts, surface lifts and passenger conveyors operate without interruption. During summer operational periods, lift mechanics start-up and monitor lift operations during operating hours and respond to problems and emergencies. During down periods, they are busy performing the required maintenance and special projects. Safety Act and Elevating devices regulationsGood working knowledge of the current OH&S regulations as they pertain to lift maintenanceGood communication skills and the ability to work well with othersMust be able to maintain a calm, friendly manner under periods of stress and demonstrate excellent communication skillsAble to meet the physical requirements of the position such as lifting up to 25kg, walking through difficult terrain, climbing lift towers, etc.Able to work in all weather conditionsAble to operate snowmobiles, ATVs and 4×4 trucks in a safe and responsible mannerSelf-motivated, professional, dependable, timely, cooperative and able to work with others with minimal supervisionAble to work at heights on ropeway towersStrong desire for a career in the ski industryPrimary Responsibilities:Perform scheduled and un-scheduled maintenance on all lifts in accordance with company requirements, manufacturer's recommendations, and the CSA Z-98 code requirementsAlways maintain professional and credible representation of Sun Peaks Resort and the Lift Maintenance departmentAssist in building and maintaining a strong preventative maintenance programKeep good records of work performed, tracking hours on CMMS and required formsKeep up to date and use of CMMS, Edge Auditor, Alpine Connect 2.0, etc.Mentor,
