The Grizzly Paw Brewing Company is a craft brewery and brewpub located in the heart of the

Canadian Rockies. Situated in the town of Canmore, the Grizzly Paw Pub & Brewing Company has been in operation since 1996. Our brewing operations include a 20,000 square foot landmark brewery, a pub, restaurant, taproom, and event space.

We are looking for an outgoing and knowledgeable colleague who is willing to learn and ready to provide our customers with memorable experiences! This role would be part time (3-4 shifts and primarily be at night)

Summary of Position

Responsible for providing an excellent guest experience by building a rapport with guests and positively contributing to the team leadership while managing the dining room.

Duties & Responsibilities:

- Manage floor plan
- Ensure completion of opening / closing duties with a checklist
- Enforce grooming policy and uniform standards
- Follow-up on phone messages
- Maintain integrity of point of sales
- Greeting and escorting guests with a qualified and positive attitude
- Oversee the flow of guests within the restaurant and monitor service load
- Ascertain guest satisfaction through table checks

- Manage waitlist
- Monitor & post about TripAdvisor and Google
- Liaise between kitchen staff and floor staff
- Maintain ambience of restaurant - lighting, music,



cleanliness, hygiene
- Oversee and proactively deal with guest queries and complaints
- Advising guests on menu, beverage, & especially beer
- Work with the management team to create the company experience for guests
- Periodically balance previous day's tills, cash-outs, & deposits
- Ready and willing to work in a service role which may include direct contact with the

public and or vendor representatives.
- Follow all required Health, Safety, Prevention & Sanitation procedures at all times
- Provide support and training to colleagues as required
- Maintain proper audit track records, follow company policies & procedures
- Develop and maintain close and effective working relationship with all supporting

departments
- Consider the environmental impact of all decisions
- Complete other duties and projects as assigned.

Qualifications
- Strong hospitality background and minimum 1 year of supervisory experience.

- Strong leadership skills
- Must be able to communicate clearly with managers, kitchen and dining room personnel

and guests.
- Be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
- Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 9 hours).
