Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Payroll Administrator to join our team. In this vital role, you will manage payroll processing, ensure accuracy in employee compensation, and maintain compliance with relevant regulations. Your expertise will support our mission by ensuring timely and precise payroll operations across our division.
Responsibilities
- Process payroll using various accounting and payroll software such as Intime and SAGE.
- Enter and verify employee data related to hours worked, wages, deductions, and perks with meticulous attention to detail.
- Reconcile payroll accounts regularly to ensure accuracy in accounts payable and receivable transactions.
- Maintain comprehensive records of payroll transactions, including tax filings and compliance documentation.
- Collaborate with human resources to update employee information and resolve payroll discrepancies efficiently.
- Conduct analysis of payroll data to identify errors or inconsistencies and implement corrective actions promptly.
- Support bookkeeping activities related to payroll expenses and assist with audits as needed.
- Creating reports required and distribute, update earning and deduction codes and complete any needed adjustments.
- Assist in entering data for payroll and invoicing for all employees, assist in auditing timesheets and sign in logs, and verify pay and bill rates (effect change where necessary).
- Accurately entering and updating of client information in the accounting program and create invoices for a variety of clients.
- Assist in the sending out all accounts receivable invoices and follow up with Clients on outstanding invoices.
- Manage a large portfolio of employees, understand payroll calendars, payroll cycles, with various software programs that the organization utilizes.
- Other duties as assigned by the CFO.
Qualifications
- Proven experience with payroll processing using systems such as intime, and SAGE.
- Strong knowledge of accounting software including SAGE, Intime and Excel.
- Excellent data entry skills with high accuracy; ability to handle sensitive information confidentially.
- Understanding of accounting principles related to payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and account reconciliation.
- Strong analysis skills to review data for discrepancies and ensure compliance with legal standards.
- Prior experience in bookkeeping or related financial roles is advantageous.
