Public Health Nurse (PHN) - (Full time Permanent)- Infectious Disease

Reporting to the Manager of the Infectious Disease program, the Thunder Bay District Health Unit is seeking a Full time Permanent Public Health Nurses in the Infectious Disease program.

Public Health Nursing practice is based on the Community Health Nursing Practice Model and is guided by the Ontario Public Health Standards. Nurses in this field focus on prevention and protection, population, population health, surveillance, emergency preparedness and health promotion.

The Public Health Nurse in the Infectious Disease program should have a working knowledge of communicable disease surveillance practices, case and contact management for Diseases of Public Health S (DOPHS), including Tuberculosis and be comfortable engaging with equity deserving populations, would be an asset.
