We're growing our Vancouver team and looking for a detail-oriented Claims Assistant to support our claims function.Key AccountabilitiesOpen, set up, and maintain claim files in the claims management system, ensuring accurate policy and loss dataEnter and update claim information tasks in a timely mannerProcess incoming claim correspondence, documents, and reports accordinglyTrack claim status and follow up on outstanding items to support timely resolutionAssist examiners with reserve entries and payment requestsPrepare assignment letters, opening and closing notices, and other standard claims correspondenceMaintain accurate records in compliance with company policies and regulatory requirementsSupport reporting on claim volumes, aging,



and cycle times as neededProvide general administrative support to the claims departmentQualificationsHigh school diploma required; post-secondary education in business administration, insurance, or a related field is an asset1–3 years of experience in an administrative, clerical, or claims support role; insurance industry experience is an assetEnrollment in or willingness to pursue CIP (Chartered Insurance Qualified) designation is an assetStrong data entry accuracy and attention to detailProficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel); experience with claims management systems is an assetStrong written and verbal communication skillsExcellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‐paced environmentA proactive, customer-service-oriented approachSalary Range: CAD $46,000–$56,000**Actual pay may be below or above range based on candidates' knowledge, skills, and level of ability relative to expectations for the role applied to.
