Overview

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Personal Support Workers (PSWs) to provide exceptional care and support to individuals in need. This role involves assisting clients with daily activities, ensuring their safety, and promoting independence in a variety of settings including assisted living facilities, nursing homes, and private homes. The ideal candidate will have a genuine desire to improve the quality of life for others and possess relevant caregiving experience.

Responsibilities

- Assist clients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Provide medication administration as prescribed and monitor health status
- Support clients with meal preparation and nutritional needs
- Perform light housekeeping tasks including cleaning and laundry to maintain a secure and comfortable environment
- Offer companionship and emotional support to reduce feelings of loneliness or isolation




- Help clients participate in recreational activities or exercises to promote physical and mental well-being
- Observe and report any changes in health or behavior to healthcare professionals or family members
- Follow care plans accurately and adhere to all safety protocols

Experience

- Assisted living experience or nursing home experience is highly preferred
- Prior work with seniors or individuals with disabilities is advantageous
- Experience working with dementia patients or providing dementia care is a plus
- Knowledge of medication administration procedures is desirable
- Previous caregiving experience, including home care services, is beneficial
- Skills in caregiving, cleaning, meal preparation, and general home support are valued
- Compassionate attitude, excellent communication skills, and reliability are essential for success in this role

Pay: $23.00-$25.00 per hour

Education

- AEC / DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate (preferred)

Language:
- English (preferred)
- French (preferred)

Licence/Certification:
- Personal support worker certificate (required)
