Role Description The Pharmacy Assistant is a full-time, on-site role located in Vaughan, ON. In this position, the Pharmacy Assistant supports the pharmacy team by processing prescriptions under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist, preparing and packaging medications, and maintaining accurate patient and prescription records. Daily responsibilities include assisting customers at the pharmacy counter, responding to phone inquiries, and coordinating prescription pick-ups and refills.

The role also involves managing inventory, including receiving, organizing, and counting stock, as well as ensuring that work areas are clean, safe,



and compliant with company policies and regulatory standards.

The Pharmacy

Assistant collaborates closely with pharmacists and other team members to provide efficient, respectful, and confidential service to every customer.

Qualifications

- Ability to handle prescription-related tasks and support pharmacy operations in accordance with regulatory and company standards.
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on respectful, patient-centered interactions and problem-solving.
- Qualified phone etiquette and clear communication skills for interacting with customers, prescribers, and team members.
- Experience or aptitude in inventory management, including organizing, tracking, and replenishing pharmacy stock.
- Attention to detail, accuracy in data entry, and commitment to confidentiality and privacy.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and collaborate effectively in a team setting.
- Previous experience as a pharmacy assistant or completion of a pharmacy assistant/technician program is an asset.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with pharmacy or point-of-sale systems are beneficial.
