shielded metal arc welding (SMAW)Operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipmentOperate metal shaping machines such as brakes, shears and other metal straightening and bending machinesConduct repairs, modifications, and retrofitsMaintain a working knowledge of changes in technology, compliance, and repair techniquesAdhere and comply with company policies and Health, Safety, and Environmental regulationsMaintain safe work practicesTravel to jobsite to perform onsite welding and field fits, as requiredOther duties as assignedMachine inspection and maintenanceMaintain and clean all machines and toolsReport requirements for repairs to supervisorMaintain inspection records and complete inspection reportsProcessing jobs according to defined company policies and protocolsReceive instructions from Welding Supervisor for each jobProvide details necessary to administration office for job number assignmentReview, understand, and complete work orderFollow detailed instructions on the order and ask for clarification prior to starting the jobEnsure all parts and components used in the recertification process are recorded to the job numberAccurate and detailed tracking of time spent on jobsTeam LeadershipAssign daily work activities to team members in alignment with production schedules and project deadlinesProvide guidance, mentorship, and support to team members while working alongside themLead by example in productivity, work ethic, and attention to detailPromote a safe, organized, and efficient shop environmentEnsure all team members adhere to all company policies, procedures and occupational health and safety regulationsCommunicate job status, issues, and concerns to the Welding Supervisor in a timely mannerWhat You Bring To The TableMinimum Grade 12 or equivalentValid CWB welding certification, GMAW and SMAW, certified in all positionsMinimum of one (1)
