Become an Aftercare Worker with ONWA and help reshape the lives of Indigenous women and families. Play a vital role in promoting cultural healing and personal well-being. This position focuses on delivering trauma-informed, gender-based support through aftercare services.
You will engage with community members to facilitate mental health resources, advocacy, and crisis intervention. Your work will directly affect healing journeys and contribute to sustainable community improvements. Key Responsibilities:
Provide aftercare and mental health support
Conduct consultations and referrals for community members
Manage case coordination and documentation
Implement safety plans and crisis interventions
Facilitate presentations and wellness workshops Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree or relevant education/experience
Minimum three years in Indigenous advocacy
Solid skills in crisis intervention and assessment
Proficiency in office technology and documentation
Knowledge of Indigenous traditions and community healing practices Utilize your skills to support Indigenous women's health and well-being through compassionate aftercare work.
