END DATE MARCH 2027)REASON TO POST: DIRECT REPLACEMENTWAGE RATE: $37.071 - $38.157Reporting to the Manager, the Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) works collaboratively in an inter-disciplinary team to provide patient care within their professional scope of practice while working in the Emergency department.QUALIFICATIONSRequired:Ontario College of Nurses registrationCurrent certification in or willingness to obtain:BCLSTwo (2) years recent acute care nursing experienceCurrent understanding of the Canadian Triage and Acuity Scales (CTAS)Physical Assessment Course or equivalentCCU 1 or willingness to obtain in six (6) monthsCode White (CPI certification) or willingness to obtainAbility to work at full scope of practice as defined by the Emergency Program, ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team in a fast-paced and ever-changing environmentDemonstrated Competence in the performance of the following skills: ECG, arrhythmia interpretation, IV therapy (including maintenance, IV starts and medication administration), care and maintenance of CVADs, splinting, oral, IM, sc medication administration, wound care, urinary catheterization, suture/staple removal, measuring for crutches,
