We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Physiotherapy Assistant to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will support licensed physiotherapists in delivering high-quality care to diverse patient populations. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills within a fast-paced healthcare environment focused on patient recovery and wellness.

Responsibilities

- Assist physiotherapists in implementing treatment plans and therapy sessions for patients.
- Support patient care by preparing treatment areas, equipment, and supplies for therapy sessions.
- Monitor and document patient progress during therapy sessions, ensuring accurate records are maintained.
- Provide encouragement and education to patients on exercises and activities prescribed by physiotherapists.
- Maintain a clean, organized,



and protected treatment environment in compliance with health regulations.
- Communicate effectively with patients, team members, and healthcare staff to coordinate care.
- Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and managing patient records as needed.

Qualifications

- Previous experience working in a hospital or acute care setting is highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology relevant to physiotherapy and patient care.
- Demonstrated commitment to providing excellent patient care with a compassionate approach.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and work collaboratively within a healthcare team.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and staff.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
