Job Summary

We are seeking a versatile 3rd, 4th year or Journeyman Plumber who thrives in both residential service and new construction settings, with deep technical expertise in residential boilers and hydronic heating systems. In this dynamic role, you will split your expertise between diagnosing and repairing residential plumbing and heating systems for homeowners and installing/roughing-in mechanical systems on new construction projects. What You Will Do

- Hydronic & Boiler Expertise: Diagnose, service, maintain, repair, and install residential boiler systems, radiant in-floor heating, and hydronic mechanical rooms.
- Residential Service & Repairs: Perform troubleshooting, repairs, fixture replacements, drain work, and system maintenance directly for residential clients.
- New Construction Plumbing: Work alongside our construction team on new residential builds—executing groundworks, rough-ins, mechanical room setups, and final trim-outs to exact specifications.
- System Diagnostics & Design Read: Read and interpret mechanical drawings, hydronic piping schematics, and equipment manuals to ensure efficient system design and code compliance.
- Customer Relations & Digital Documentation: Communicate clearly and respectfully with homeowners on service calls, explain technical solutions, and complete clear digital service reports.
- Safety & Quality Standards: Execute all work strictly in accordance with Alberta Plumbing Codes, local gas codes, and Sure Fit quality standards.

What We Look For

- Qualifications: Alberta Journeyperson Plumber certification (or an officially recognized equivalent Red Seal trade ticket) or indentured 3rd or 4th year plumbing apprentice
- Boiler & Hydronics Mastery: Strong, proven experience with residential boiler troubleshooting, hydronic loops, pumps, controls, and radiant heating systems.
- Dual-Domain Experience:



Comfortable transitioning between direct homeowner service calls and busy new construction job sites.
- Driving Record: Valid Class 5 Driver’s License with a clean, insurable 5-year driving abstract.
- Professional Demeanor: Excellent communication skills, high integrity, clean habits on customer properties, and a collaborative team attitude.
- Locality: Must be based in (or willing to relocate to) the Calgary area with reliable transportation.

Preferred / Strong Assets:

- Gasfitter Class A or Class B certification.
- Experience with high-efficiency condensing boilers, combi-boilers, and modern hydronic control panels.

Pay: $25.00-$45.00 per hour
