Responsibilities
Assist customers in selecting eyewear that fits their style, needs, and prescription requirements
Measure, fit, and adjust glasses to ensure optimal comfort and functionality
Conduct basic eye exams and interpret prescriptions using electronic health records systems such as Epic
Perform laboratory tasks including lens edging, mounting, and quality control to produce accurate, high-quality eyewear
Educate clients on lens options, frame styles, and proper care to enhance their experience and satisfaction
Manage retail sales transactions efficiently while promoting available products and services




Maintain detailed records of patient interactions, prescriptions, and laboratory procedures in compliance with privacy standards

Experience
Prior experience working as an Optician or in a related optical retail environment is highly preferred
Strong understanding of medical terminology related to eye health and vision care
Laboratory experience with lens fabrication and fitting techniques is advantageous
Proven success in retail sales or sales-driven roles with excellent communication skills
Familiarity with optical software systems such as Epic or similar electronic health record platforms
Knowledge of optical products, including frames, lenses, and coatings, to provide expert advice
Experience in retail management or supervising team members is a plus
