Our team is growing, and we are looking for a skilled Field Engineer to join our dynamic team.

Position Overview:

As a Field Engineer at Canada Techs, you will play a critical role in implementing and maintaining Security Cameras, Access Control, and IT Infrastructure. This position involves hands-on work with networks, routers, switches, and cabling systems including Cat5e and Cat6. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in low-voltage installation, with a proven track record of success in field deployments and troubleshooting.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
Install security hardware, computer hardware, and structured cabling
Work outside and indoors
Work on ladders and scissor lifts
Work in active construction zones
Support Security Cameras, Access Control, IT Infrastructure and Enterphones

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
Diploma or degree in Computer Science,



Information Technology, or a related field
2+ years of experience in low-voltage, specifically with Security Cameras, Access Control, and IT Infrastructure
Strong knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, LAN/WAN) and networking hardware
Excellent customer service skills
Must have own vehicle
Must have own tools, and ladder
Ability to work independently and prioritize own work to meet tight deadlines
Must pass a background check

WORKING CONDITIONS:
Must currently live in Vancouver or Lower Mainland. Other areas outside of this will not be considered
Must have a reliable vehicle and be able to drive to customer locations in Vancouver or Lower Mainland
