Join our team as a Maintenance Technician! In this role, you'll be responsible for the safe repair, maintenance, and replacement of plant equipment and systems, ensuring production targets and quality standards are consistently met while supporting the company's policies, goals, and objectives.This is a full-time, onsite position, based at our Delta Laboratory, located on Annacis Island, BC. Monday to Friday 6:30am to 3:00pm., with occasional afternoon and weekend shifts required based on business needs.What You'll DoPerforming daily equipment checks on critical equipment, noting any day-to-day changes in performance and taking action as necessary to return equipment to correct operating conditionFollowing Preventive Maintenance documents and completing the instructions defined within, noting any deficiencies with the equipment for follow upUsing diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions and engineering specifications to familiarize yourself with the equipment and guide your troubleshooting effortsLocating problems by observing devices in operation, identifying issues and using precision measuring and testing instrumentsRemoving and replacing defective parts, using hoists, hand and power tools and examining for possible causes of failureRecording parts used during Preventative Maintenance and repair work in the company CMMS to aid inventory accuracyAnticipating low levels of replacement parts and supplies in our inventory, placing and expediting orders as well as verifying receiptPreparing mechanical maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trendsMaintaining your technical knowledge by attending educational workshops,



reviewing technical publications and liaising with peers in your professional networksEnsuring a safe and clean working environment at all times whilst complying with procedures, rules, and regulationsUpdating operational and maintenance manuals for lab equipmentto reflect any changes madeContribute to the ongoing Continuous Improvement of the PM Work InstructionsA tenacity to understand root cause of failures and how to prevent reoccurrenceFostering positive working relationships with peers and team membersAn understanding and comfort with a 'give and take' work schedule that allows for potential off-hour emergency requirements and scheduling to minimize the impact on productionPerform other duties as assigned to support the team and organizational goalsWhat You BringAbility to safely lift up to 50 lbs., climb ladders and stairs, and stand for extended periodsAbility to work safely and effectively in a high-volume machine production areaA two-year technical degree or three years of related industrial experienceA passion for machinery with an ability to logically think and solve complex electro-mechanical problemsExcellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly communicate complex technical information in easy-to-understand languageEagerness to learn and continuously develop skills and knowledgeA robust commitment to workplace safety, with a safety-first approachProficiency with computers and technology, including MS Office Suite (Word & Excel)Ability to work rotating shifts, including overtime, some weekends and holidays,
