LINE COOK — Ancora Waterfront Dining & Patio (False Creek)

Ancora Waterfront Dining and Patio (False Creek location) is currently looking for Line Cooks. The ideal candidate will excel as a team player and will work well under pressure in a energetic and fast-paced environment. He or she will have the opportunity to learn from a Top Chef and work with exceptional seasonal products. You will offer a minimum of 2 years' experience as a Line Cook.

In This Position, You Will
Ensure consistent food preparation and presentation of the highest caliber
Follow all food safety and sanitation procedures, including proper storage, temperature control, and cross-contamination prevention
Maintain a clean and organized station in line with health and safety standards

Qualifications




2 years' similar or transferable experience
A solid cooking foundation is an asset
FOODSAFE Level 1 certification — mandatory
FOODSAFE Level 2 — an asset
Must be available evenings, weekends and holidays
Able to work in a fast-paced workplace and stay calm under pressure
Possess articulate communication skills required to interact effectively with the team
Reliable with a robust work ethic
Must be honest, trustworthy and reliable
Must have a passion for food and the hospitality industry

Applicants must have Canadian citizenship, permanent resident status, CIS or a valid work permit.

Job Types: Full-time/Part-time, Permanent

Salary: $20-$23/hour
