We are looking for reliable, hardworking Kitchen Prep Assistants to join a busy commercial kitchen.

This is a hands-on position supporting daily food preparation and kitchen operations. This position is suitable for someone who enjoys kitchen work, follows instructions carefully, and is interested in developing additional food-production and cooking skills over time.

Responsibilities
Prepare ingredients according to established instructions and measurements
Wash, peel, cut and prepare ingredients for production
Portion and organize ingredients for daily cooking
Prepare proteins and other food items for production
Weigh and measure ingredients accurately
Assist with general kitchen production
Portion, package and label prepared food
Maintain organized refrigerators, freezers and preparation areas
Wash dishes, utensils, pots and kitchen equipment
Clean and sanitize work surfaces and equipment
Follow food-safety and sanitation procedures
Receive, organize and rotate ingredients and supplies




Complete other kitchen-support duties as required

Able to follow recipes, measurements and instructions accurately
Willing to learn and take direction
Comfortable with repetitive food-preparation tasks
Able to work efficiently without sacrificing consistency
Comfortable standing for extended periods
Able to lift and move typical kitchen supplies and ingredients
Comfortable working in a rapid-paced commercial kitchen

Previous kitchen experience is an asset but not required Food Handler Certification is an asset

Job Types: Permanent, Full time

Pay: $17.60-$19.00 per hour

Versatile language requirement
French not required
