Job Summary

As a Math & Computer Science Teacher, you will deliver engaging and comprehensive instruction to students, fostering a love for learning in mathematics and computer science. You will create a positive classroom setting that encourages curiosity, critical thinking, and academic growth. This paid position offers an exciting prospect to shape young minds and support their educational journey.

Duties
Plan and deliver lessons aligned with curriculum standards in math and computer science, including programming, algorithms, and computational thinking
Adapt teaching methods to meet diverse student needs, including those in special education programs
Assess student progress through assignments, tests, and projects, providing constructive feedback
Incorporate technology and computer skills into lessons to enhance learning experiences




Maintain an organized classroom environment conducive to active learning and student engagement
Collaborate with colleagues to develop interdisciplinary projects and share best practices
Support students’ social-emotional development and foster a respectful classroom community

Skills
Experience working with children in educational or tutoring settings
Strong knowledge of math concepts, teaching methodologies, and computer science principles
Excellent classroom management skills with the ability to motivate students
Proficiency in Python and/or Java
Prior classroom experience is preferred, especially with diverse learners or special education students
Effective communication skills for engaging students, parents, and colleagues
Passion for education and a commitment to fostering an inclusive learning environment

Pay: $25.00-$40.00 per hour Expected hours: 6.0 – 20.0 per week
