The Billet Molding Operator reports to the Plant Manager. The Billet Molding Operator's primary day-to-day responsibility is to ensure billet production meets the company's production schedule and cost requirements. This will include direct responsibility for mold setup, press, inspection, heat treat, labelling and data entry into Epicore.Job Responsibilities and Accountabilities:Reads and understands requirements of work orders, follows instructionsUses math skills to learn use of weight scales, hydraulic gauges, micrometers, verniersRefers to the Billet Process Sheet Book to determine correct procedures to follow for the specific billet required.Sets up molds, fills with resin, operates hydraulic ram presses in a proper and safe mannerRemoves billets from mold, checks all dimensions, visually inspects billets for cracksLabels all billets legibly with correct dataLoads and unloads sintering ovensMaintains molding logs and enters data into EpicoreOperates Forklift in a safe mannerOperates shear, cut-off, band, and panel saws in a safe manner and wears appropriate personal protection equipmentTrains other operators as requiredWorks 40 hours w/overtime as requestedQualifications/Experience:5+ years lathe operation experience.Experience in job shop environment.Must be able to lift 60 lbs.PC proficiency is helpful.
