Our busy and growing Podiatric Medical practice of 25 years is seeking a part-time Medical Assistant to join our team. This team member will support our existing triage and reception staff during peak hours of the clinic, 10am-3pm on Mondays - Thursdays.

The primary position will be in a clinical assistant role, including triaging patients into our treatment rooms, medical instrument reprocessing and cleaning/infection control within the practice.

Primary Responsibilities
Initiate and maintain polite/friendly patient communications during patient registration, triaging and follow-ups
Provide assistance to the primary receptionist as needed




Answer and handle phone calls with appropriate delegation and follow-up
Keep detailed and accurate records of requests and of calls received
Place phone calls to patients to remind them of their appointment
Ensure patients rooms are prepared, cleaned and stocked with adequate medical supplies and that instruments are cleaned and ready for use as per clinic policies on sanitization and sterilization of equipment (training provided)
Maintain reception area and all common areas in a clean and tidy manner at all times
Receive deliveries of medical supplies
Ensure required patient forms are properly filled, distributed and documented as per clinic policies
Operate standard office equipment on a regular basis, including a fax machine, a copy machine, and a computer
Basic Proficiency on Electronic Medical Record (EMR) Software

Pay: $19.50-$20.50 per hour Expected hours: 18.0 – 22.0 per week
