Our qualified commitment is also personal.Position Summary:The Junior Tax Specialist co-op position offers students the opportunity to work alongside our Canadian Tax team and gain valuable public accounting experience during tax season. This four-month position provides a challenging and rewarding experience within a welcoming, collaborative, and progressive environment.Major ResponsibilitiesPrepare personal and corporate income tax returnsGather, organize, and scan information required for the preparation of personal tax returnsPrepare trust and partnership returnsPrepare HST returnsPrepare T4, T5, and other information slipsDevelop an appropriate level of technical tax knowledgeCorrespond with clients and tax authoritiesAssist with ad hoc projects, including due diligence and tax planningQualifications/Experience:Currently pursuing a university degree with the goal of obtaining a CPA designationWorking knowledge of TaxPrep, Caseware/CaseView, Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook is an assetAbility to work extended hours when required to meet critical deadlinesExcellent organizational skills and attention to detailStrong time management, analytical, and problem-solving abilitiesProfessional approach and the ability to work effectively both independently and within a teamWhat we offerA competitive compensation package,
