Your Responsibilities
3D modeling from conceptual phase through to fabrication, assemblies, and installation
Design for fabrication – we build everything we design, so prototyping and close interaction with the shop floor and CNC machines is critical;
Creation of fabrication drawings and CNC files;
Working with fabrication crews and CNC machines to ensure models are translated accurately into human- and machine-readable information;
Production of detailed drawings for approval, engineering, and production;
Coordinate design information with external teams, engineers, and contractors;
Standardization of connections, fasteners & fabrication techniques to improve production efficiency;
Continual improvement of design & drafting process to improve efficiency and reduce design cycle times;
Manage and prioritize tasks to meet scheduled deadlines;
Maintaining and growing construction industry technical knowledge.

Position Requirements
Must have completion of minimum 2-year college program in engineering design and drafting technology;
Must have a minimum three years of experience
Knowledge in drafting standards and principles
Good knowledge of geometry, trigonometry, and a strong aptitude for spatial reasoning




Strong communication skills and a good understanding of the English language, both orally
and in writing
Robust computer skills and proficiency
Strong knowledge of Rhino software
Proficiency in Building Information Modeling (BIM) software such as HSB CAD, Revit,
TEKLA Structures, Bluebeam, or equivalent software.
Knowledge and experience with timber design & detailing
Knowledge of steel design & detailing
A desire to learn and continually develop;
Team player, able to prioritize tasks with exceptional organizational skills;
Detail-oriented and strong problem-solving skills.

You will be working with many of our staff and reporting to our 3D Design & Drafting Manager.

Hours per week: 40 hours
Location: Full-time in person at Abbotsford office located at 1929 Foy Street, Abbotsford,
BC, V2T6B1.

Annual Salary for this position: $77,000
