The role involves substantial hands-on experience with photonic integrated circuit design, simulation, and optical characterization to support groundbreaking space telescope technologies. Key Responsibilities:
Lead PIC design and simulation efforts using FDTD tools
Create architectures for low-loss silicon nitride devices
Support optical characterization and assembly processes
Publish and present research results collaboratively
Manage packaging and evaluation of photonic devices Requirements:
Ph.D. in relevant scientific disciplines received in last five years
Extensive experience in photonics design and simulation tools
Demonstrated ability in device layout design and optical testing
Solid independent research capabilities
