We're looking for an Assistant General Manager to join us at Bluebird! Welcome to Bluebird, a wood-fired steakhouse featuring the best of Alberta beef including your favorite classic cuts and all-day-roasted Prime rib. Bluebird is where brunch and cocktails collide into fireside lunch which glides into happy hour and then swooshes into dinner where the après begins. Check us out here: https://www.Bluebirdbanff.Com/The anticipated start date for this position is mid-October.Assistant General ManagerThe Assistant General Manager contributes to the success of Banff Hospitality Collective by participating in the management of the daily operations of the restaurant, including the management of all employees in conjunction with the General Manager. In addition, they assist with inventory and ordering of liquor and supplies, optimize profits, and ensure that guests have had an experience that lives up to the company values. They work closely with the culinary team and participate in decisions with the BHC executive team.We Love Perks! utility and labor costsEnsure financial and payroll administration, including invoicing and reporting, is accurate, timely, and compliant with company policyEnforce sanitary practices for food handling, general cleanliness, and maintenance of kitchen and dining areasEnsure compliance with operational standards, company policies, and federal, provincial, and municipal lawsMaintain professional restaurant image, including restaurant cleanliness, proper uniforms, and appearance standardsDeeply understand and champion the venue's brand, delivering on its promise and inspiring your team to do the sameFocus on outstanding guest service, responding to complaints, taking appropriate action, and generating return guestsRecognize the importance of employee experience and build a strong team culturePrepare for and attend weekly, monthly, quarterly, and six month planning meetingsWhat You Have:Experience in the food and beverage industry is requiredSupervisory or management experience is a strong assetProServe certification requiredAvailability to work mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays requiredAdaptable with technology and systems, from day to day use to troubleshooting and training othersAn amazing team player with a knack for bringing others together to work towards a common goalConnecting with people and building trusting relationships comes easy to youStrong communication skills and a collaborative, team focused working styleYou know when to step back, welcome other perspectives, and try new approachesAbility to work with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all timesBanff Hospitality Collective is: https://www.Banffcollective.Com/banff-restaurantsBHC is an equal opportunity employer.
