Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to provide high-quality care to our residents and clients. This role involves assisting individuals with their daily needs, promoting independence, and ensuring a protected and comfortable environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in senior care, home care, or working with individuals with disabilities, and possess a robust understanding of patient care practices.

Responsibilities
Assist residents or clients with personal care tasks such as grooming, and monitoring personal hygiene
Administer medications following prescribed guidelines
Support individuals with dementia or cognitive impairments with compassion and care
Prepare nutritious meals in accordance with dietary requirements and assist with feeding as needed
Perform cleaning duties to maintain a protected and hygienic environment




Provide companionship and emotional support to promote mental well-being
Provide support for back-to-independence goals
Support patients during activities of daily living, including toileting and mobility assistance
Provide family updates regarding client care

Requirements
Experience working with seniors, individuals with disabilities, or those requiring support, dementia or hospice care is highly desirable
Ability to assist with mobility support
Strong communication skills and compassionate demeanor
Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team
Reliability is essential
Valid drivers license is required
Ability to pass vulnerable sector criminal Record check is mandatory
Firm grasp the English language and explicit spoken English is very important

Pay: $23.00-$27.00 per hour Work Location: On the road
