We are seeking a friendly and efficient Food Service Counter Attendant to join our team. This role involves providing excellent customer service, preparing food items, and managing transactions in a fast-paced food service workplace. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the food industry, strong communication skills, and the ability to handle multiple tasks with professionalism and efficiency.

Duties
Greet customers warmly and take their orders accurately using POS systems.
Prepare food items according to established recipes and safety standards, ensuring quality and presentation
Operate cash registers, handle cash and card transactions, and process payments efficiently
Upsell menu items to enhance customer experience and increase sales opportunities
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations, adhering to food safety and sanitation guidelines
Restock supplies and ensure the counter area is organized and presentable at all times
Assist in food handling, portioning, and serving to ensure quick service during busy periods
Follow all food safety protocols and sanitation procedures to ensure a protected environment for customers and staff




Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring customer satisfaction

Skills
Experience in food preparation, cashiering, or food industry roles preferred but not required
Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms
Strong time management skills to handle high-volume periods efficiently
Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude
Knowledge of food handling, sanitation, and safety standards in a restaurant or food service setting
Basic math skills for cash handling and transaction accuracy
Ability to upsell menu items effectively to enhance sales opportunities
Kitchen experience or restaurant background is a plus but not mandatory
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
