Join our Fairmont family today!Job DescriptionReporting to the Director, People & Culture, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:Facilitate a number of Accor and Property Training Programs to colleagues and leaders, including Train the Trainer, Interaction Management, Leadership Orientation, and other courses to promote development and enhance on-the-job skillsExecute a world class onboarding experience for recent Heartists, several hundred colleagues per year; Update the onboarding program as requiredWork with the Director, People& Culture and the Hotel Leadership Team to evaluate the annual Learning & Development strategies and programming for the hotelWork closely with the Director People& Culture to determine need for new workshops and training programs; aid in the creation andfacilitation of these programsCreate strong interpersonal relationships that allow for coaching and guidance to supports both leaders and colleague and maintain high levels of engagement in all areas of the HotelWork with operational department leaders to review all Departmental Job Task Checklists and ensure that the tools are in place for successful departmental onboarding and training; track completion of JobTask ChecklistsProvide support and development of Departmental Trainers and ensure compliance and consistency across departments of the HotelMaintain accurate records of all training activities and participant information; communicate completion rates to the Leadership TeamSupport Apprenticeship Programs throughout the HotelOversee manage the Educational Assistance Program with the support of the Director, People& CultureOversee the colleague performance review program to ensure proper completion of probationary and annual reviews for all colleaguesUtilize an online training system to assign mandatory courses to colleagues and leaders, monitor progress, and track completionCollaborate with Learning & Development Managers in the Region with regular monthly calls to align a regional strategic directionSupport with the overall People & Culture operations, other departmental functions, and other duties and travel as required/assignedQualificationsMinimum of 2 years' experience in a leadership role within the hospitality industry, preferably operations. Previous L&D experience is an asset.University degree in Hotel/Restaurant Management or related discipline a strong assetProven track record in needs assessment and facilitation of training programs in driving service excellence resultsDemonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Microsoft teams, PowerPoint, Publisher, Excel, and Word) requiredEnthusiastic and positive personality with ability to build strong relationshipsSense of urgency and the ability to prioritize will be requiredResults orientated with the ability to be flexible and to work well under pressureInnovative, creative and willing to take risks and be accountable for successes, near misses and the inevitable,
