Metro Testing + Engineering is looking for experiencedMaterialsTesting Technicians for a mine site in Northern BC. The rotation is 15 days on and 13 days off until October 31st, 2026. The target start date is Mid April, 2026.What you will be doing:Carry out routine maintenance and calibration of equipment and apparatusProvide supervisor/manager with updates on workstation status including advance notification of any delaysReview workload summary reports to plan and organize daily workPerform sample preparation and procedures prior to analysis as described in the test methods and reviews daily workload to accommodate daily rushesInterpret data,



calculate final results and enter data into LIMS Identify any non-routine samples and seek guidance on procedures for handlingMeet quality and TAT specifications required by the client and ensure samples are analyzed within time requirementsIdentify and communicate procedural non conformances to SupervisorOther duties as requiredWhat you will be getting:$25-35/hr depends on experience12 hours days with OvertimeAccommodation and meals are providedMarshal points are in Western Canada - Vancouver, Nanaimo, Kamloops, Kelowna, Prince George, Smithers and Calgary.Who we are looking for:Experienced with testing Soil +Aggregate. (Sieve Analysis/Proctor)Experience with using Nuclear DensometerValid BC/Alberta Driver's licenseMust be able to pass a Drug + Alcohol test prior to startingExperienced with working in FIFO rotation is an asset
