Our client, a well-established public accounting firm in Vancouver, is looking to add a Senior Accountant, Audit to its Public Company Assurance team.This opportunity is well suited to a designated CPA with public company audit experience who wants to continue developing their technical assurance skills while taking on increased responsibility across engagements, client relationships, and junior staff mentorship.The RolePrepare and review audit, review, and tax engagementsWork primarily with public company and reporting issuer clientsSupport engagements from planning through completionPrepare and review financial statements and related note disclosuresApply knowledge ofIFRSand Canadian Auditing StandardsPerform substantive testing across revenue, expenses, capital assets, accounts payable, accounts receivable, inventory, equity, and income taxesReview supporting documentation and assess the sufficiency of audit evidenceIdentify audit issues, misstatements, and areas requiring further investigationPrepare corporate tax returns and other tax compliance filings as requiredCommunicate directly with clients to obtain information and resolve engagement issuesSupervise and mentor junior team membersWork closely with Managers and Partners on engagement planning, risk areas, materiality,
