Join Our TeamWe are seeking a dedicated Advanced Care Paramedic (ACP) to provide emergency and primary care services within a remote community clinic. This unique position offers the opportunity to practice to your full scope in collaboration with physicians, nurses, first responders, security personnel, RCMP, and other healthcare professionals while making a meaningful impact in the community.This is more than a traditional paramedic role—it combines emergency response, clinic operations, patient care, and community healthcare in a dynamic team environment.Schedule7 days on / 7 days off rotation12-hour shiftsDay Shift: 0830 – 2030Night Shift: 2030 – 0830On-call after regular clinic hoursOvertime opportunities availableResponsibilitiesProvide emergency pre-hospital and clinical patient care within the Chateh Health Centre.Collaborate with First Responders, Security Staff, RCMP, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care.Respond to medical emergencies within the clinic and community, including home visits when required.Arrange patient transportation via ambulance or medical taxi.Assist physicians during clinic days by:Recording vital signsPreparing patients for assessmentDocumenting patient informationSupporting patient flowFacilitate the pickup of prescribed medications as per Chateh Health Centre policies.Assist community members in accessing Community Care programs and services.Answer clinic phone calls after hours during periods of high call volume.Ensure emergency room, treatment rooms, and physician offices remain fully stocked and operational.Complete weekly inventory checks of:Trauma roomCrash cartEmergency response kitsEmergency vehiclePharmacyMedical supply roomMaintain medical equipment and ensure readiness for emergency response.Follow all AHSEMS, AES, organizational policies, clinical guidelines, and scope of practice requirements.Qualifications RequiredCurrent registration with the Alberta College of Paramedics (ACoP) as an Advanced Care Paramedic (ACP).Valid Class 4 Alberta Driver's Licence.Current BLS, ACLS, and other certifications required for ACP practice.Robust assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills.Ability to work independently in a remote healthcare setting.PreferredExperience in remote, rural, industrial, or community healthcare.Experience working collaboratively with multidisciplinary healthcare teams.What We OfferCompetitive compensationOvertime opportunities7 on 7-off schedule providing excellent work-life balanceDiverse and rewarding clinical experienceSupportive healthcare teamOpportunity to make a meaningful difference in a remote Indigenous communityIf you're an ACP looking for a challenging and rewarding career where you can practice to your full scope while serving a close-knit community, we'd love to hear from you.Resumes can also be submitted at: [email protected]
