Sunnybrook Childcare Centre is a non-profit Centre that provides care for children, ages 3 months to 5 years of age. We are looking for an individual who will be a excellent part of our dynamic team.

Key Responsibilities
Support the implementation of high-quality early years learning programs based on the How Does Learning Happen
Provide a warm, nurturing and caring environment for children to support their self esteem
Ability to manage children’s behavior through positive reinforcement
Maintain an organized, welcoming, safe, and educational environment
Support the teachers in the room with daily routines
Communicate with staff and parents regarding child development

Qualifications
Minimum two years’ experience working in a child care workplace as an Assistant or RECE
Up to date knowledge in CCEYA, How Does Learning Happen, and AQI
Strong planning, time management, problem – solving, interpersonal and communication skills
Demonstrate solid knowledge in child development and self-regulation
Current training in First Aid and CPR
Explicit and Current Vulnerable Sector Check

Although this is a casual position we do have opportunities for a temporary full time position in the near future.
