Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Print Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and hands-on experience operating various printing and packaging equipment. As a Print Machine Operator, you will be responsible for ensuring high-quality production output, maintaining equipment functionality, and adhering to safety standards.

Label Design & Preparation

- Design, edit, and format production labels using Adobe Illustrator according to company standards and customer or regulatory requirements.
- Ensure labels include accurate information such as product codes, batch numbers, barcodes, dates, and compliance details.
- Modify existing label templates based on production changes or special requests.
- Verify artwork accuracy before printing to minimize errors and reprints.

Printing & Production Support
- Print labels for daily production requirements using industrial or commercial label printers.
- Manage print queues and prioritize urgent or high-volume production orders.
- Ensure printed labels meet quality standards, including color accuracy, alignment, legibility, and durability.
- Troubleshoot basic printer issues related to print quality, alignment, or material feed.

Printer & Equipment Management
- Operate, monitor, and perform basic maintenance on label printers.




- Replace printer consumables such as ink, toner, ribbons, and label rolls as required.
- Identify and report printer malfunctions or technical issues to maintenance or IT support teams.

Documentation & Reporting
- Communicate production status, completed print jobs, and pending requests through email reports.
- Maintain records of printed labels, reprints, and production quantities when required.
- Notify relevant departments of delays, issues, or changes affecting label production.

Quality & Compliance
- Ensure labels comply with internal quality standards and any applicable regulatory or customer requirements.
- Perform final checks to ensure correct label version is used for each production run

Experience

- Prior experience operating printing or machining equipment within a manufacturing or production setting is an asset.
- Knowledge of mechanical systems, troubleshooting techniques, and routine maintenance procedures.
