About Greenwater Ltd.

Greenwater Ltd. is a cleantech company producing renewable diesel and sustainable aviation fuel from forest biomass. The company is advancing a demonstration facility located at the Thunder Bay Pulp & Paper facility in Thunder Bay, ON toward full commercial-scale production. We are building our core operations team now, ahead of startup, so that the right people are trained and ready when the plant goes live.

The Opportunity The Process Technician role is designed for a motivated individual with problem-solving and analytical skills, working within a team to ensure that Greenwater’s industrial processes run efficiently, safely, and consistently.

The Process

Technician will be responsible for operating and monitoring the renewable diesel/aviation fuel production process, in conjunction with the Greenwater team. You do not need prior experience in fuel production or biorefineries — Greenwater will provide structured, hands-on training under the direction of our Operations Advisor. This position has the potential for further training and development, for a candidate who demonstrates competency with the foundational elements of job and wants to grow within the organization. This is a real career-building chance in Thunder Bay’s growing clean energy sector.

What You Will Do

- Participate in training and mentorship to learn plant systems, equipment, and process flows under direct supervision
- Assist with facility preparation, equipment checks, and pre-startup readiness activities
- Monitor and operate machinery to ensure smooth production and adherence to specifications Support documentation of operating procedures and adherence to safety protocols
- Participate in health and safety training and plant orientation programs Work alongside engineers and technical staff to understand production processes and communicate with these teams during operations
- Assist with general plant and equipment maintenance and housekeeping tasks

What We Are Looking For

Required





High school diploma or equivalent is required; technical trades, college diploma, or apprenticeship training is an asset

Mechanical aptitude and comfort working in an industrial or manufacturing environment Analytical and problem-solving skills

Excellent attention to detail

Proven ability to work well independently & in a team environment Reliable, punctual, and able to work rotating shifts (days, evenings, and nights) as needed

Strong communication skills and the ability to follow detailed procedures Commitment to workplace safety

Assets — Not Required

- Experience in a mill, plant, or industrial facility (pulp and paper, chemical, energy, or similar)
- Experience working in team environments or managing crews
- Forklift, confined space, or other industrial certifications
- First Aid / CPR certification
- Familiarity with OH&S; regulations in Ontario
