Key responsibilities :
Plan, prepare and coordinate pre-commissioning/commissioning/start-up activities leading to project completion.
Develop and ensure adherence to a detailed commissioning schedule and plan, covering all aspects of pre-commissioning and start-up phases through to handover.
Prepare and/or update a comprehensive commissioning manual.
Develop a reporting structure and accountabilities for the commissioning team.
Plan and coordinate the commissioning/start up schedule and necessary work with third party providers.
Develop pre-commissioning test procedures and documentation. Correct any deficiencies found.
Ensure compliance and progress reports are produced in accordance with client and legislative requirements.
Liaise with government agencies where required to obtain necessary approvals prior to start-up.
Prepare client acceptance forms and ensure satisfactory sign-off is obtained.



Develop comprehensive quality, workplace and safety commissioning plans.
A Senior Qualified with advanced knowledge of job area typically obtained through advanced education and work experience.
Managing projects / processes, working independently with limited supervision.
Coaching and reviewing the work of lower-level professionals. Problems faced are difficult and sometimes complex.

Experience/ Educational Qualifications :
5 - 8 years of experience in Telecom engineering
Knowledge of telecommunications systems for the railway industry
Electrical, Electronic, or Computer Engineering or Information Technology Qualifications/ University Degree Ontario P.Eng is highly desirable
1 to 2 years of Railway System Engineering expertise
