The Dogwood Bar is looking for a Thursday Night Bouncer/Host to join our team!

We are looking for a reliable, professional and friendly individual to work Thursday evenings. The ideal candidate is confident, approachable and comfortable working in a busy bar environment while helping maintain a safe and welcoming atmosphere for our guests.

Key Responsibilities
Greet and welcome guests as they arrive
Host the door and manage guest seating
Seat guests efficiently and manage table availability
Check IDs and ensure guests meet age requirements
Monitor the entrance and manage guest flow
Maintain a safe, secure and welcoming workplace
Monitor guest behaviour and address issues professionally
Assist staff with managing difficult or disruptive situations when required
Communicate effectively with bartenders, servers and management
Monitor capacity and ensure house policies are followed
Assist with line management and guest wait times
Provide excellent customer service while maintaining a professional presence

Requirements
Previous security,



bouncer, hosting or customer service experience preferred
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Confident and qualified demeanor
Ability to remain calm and use good judgment in difficult situations
Reliable and punctual
Comfortable working in a fast-paced bar environment
Must be able to stand and remain active for the duration of the shift
Commitment to maintaining a safe and welcoming setting
