We are looking for an enthusiastic Cook to join our kitchen team—no extensive kitchen experience required! We are fully willing to train the right person.

Job Summary

As a Cook at Rustic Roast Cafe & Bar, you will assist in preparing food, executing menu items during service, and maintaining a clean, efficient kitchen. This is an entry-level position perfect for someone who is passionate about culinary arts, eager to learn, and looking to build a career in the food service industry.

Key Responsibilities
Prep ingredients and assemble food items according to cafe recipes and presentation standards.
Cook menu items efficiently during breakfast, lunch, and evening service shifts.
Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen area, dish station, and food prep stations.
Follow proper food handling, storage,



and safety procedures at all times.
Assist with inventory checks, restocking supplies, and receiving deliveries.
Collaborate effectively with front-of-house staff to ensure timely and smooth service.

Qualifications & Requirements
Certifications: Active FOODSAFE Level 1 and Serving It Right certifications are required.
Experience: Previous line cook, prep cook, or kitchen experience is an asset, but we are willing to train candidates with a strong work ethic and the right attitude.
Mindset: Enthusiastic, eager to learn, open to feedback, and motivated to grow with the business.
Attributes: Punctual, reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Teamwork: Strong communication skills and a dependable, supportive attitude toward coworkers.

Schedule & Availability
Work Days: Tuesday through Sunday (Shift options include weekdays and weekends).
Time Off: Closed every Monday and on Statutory Holidays.

Pay: $18.25-$20.25 per hour Expected hours: 8.0 – 30.0 per week
