The Superintendent will be responsible for all maintenance on the crushing and screening plants and onsite facets of asphalt production including; safety, maintenance, quality, cleanup, and relocating plants. Your base location will be the Knutsford B.C., and will require some travel throughout our great province.What Success Looks LikePrioritize safety of self and others in every aspect of the jobProvide management and direction to asphalt plant foremen and maintenance teamA strong knowledge of the Mines Act, Health, Safety & Reclamation Code of B.C.Work closely with the Manager, Equipment & Assets to ensure equipment maintenance standards, schedules, and budgets are being metKnowledge of all types of asphalt plant and crushing equipmentAttend and participate in all safety meetings and ensure team abides by safety policies on the work siteDrive a culture of safety and continuous improvement; ensuring equipment is safe and in good working orderAssist in coordinating and conducting training sessionsReview and adhere to project schedules,



ensuring milestones and completion dates are metWork with and oversee the performance of all sub-contractors, ensuring that work is completed accuratelyRead and interpret project plans and specifications, and ensure all employees have the information requiredRecommend ways to improve equipment reliability, production, quality, and crew performanceEnsure construction meets approved specificationsWhat You BringMinimum of five (5) years experience in a supervisory or leadership role in the Asphalt, Crushing, Paving, or related disciplineA strong background in equipment maintenance and a knowledge of reliability centered maintenance practicesClean Drivers Abstract is requiredExcellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skillsDemonstrated ability to work both as part of a team and independentlyExperience with Heavy Job/E360Experience with Netsuite is an assetBenefitsLooking to be part of a well-established family-owned company?
