Job Overview

We are seeking a Production Manager who is responsible for providing overall leadership, directions, safety, and support to the production team, ensuring production activities are completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with quality and regulatory requirements. This role is responsible for coordinating production resources, monitoring performance, improving processes, and taking ownership of production timelines from planning through completion. You are expected to proactively identify and resolve issues, coordinate across departments, and ensure the team remains aligned with company goals and production commitments.

Duties

- Take ownership of production project timelines and ensure projects progress according to schedule. Identify potential delays early, establish corrective actions, and escalate issues when required.
- Update and actively manage the company's Project Management software daily, ensuring project status, production requirements, outstanding items, timelines, and next steps are accurate and current.
- Work closely with Supply Chain to ensure that all required raw materials; including powders,



packaging components, labels, and other production materials, are available in time to meet scheduled production dates.
- Ensure production activities, staffing, and workstations are planned and organized in advance to meet the production schedule.
- Act as a central point of contact for all departments involved in production, like supply chain, quality control, and maintenance teams, ensuring everyone is aligned with production goals and timelines.
- Oversee and coordinate required pre-production sampling to ensure samples are completed, reviewed, and approved within the required project timeline.
- Ensure Batch Manufacturing Records (BMRs) and associated production documentation are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
- Proactively identify missing, incomplete, or delayed paperwork and information required from the front office or other departments. Communicate and escalate outstanding requirements when they put production timelines at risk.
- Manage and prioritize production personnel to meet expectations for productivity, efficiency, cost, waste, safety, quality, sanitation, and applicable GMP requirements.
- Set clear direction for the production team and ensure departmental activities support Management's goals and objectives.
- Lead, develop, and hold the production team accountable by establishing clear expectations,



providing coaching and feedback, and ensuring employees understand their responsibilities and performance expectations.
- Conduct routine production meetings to communicate priorities, expectations, performance targets, and operational issues.
- Ensure finished goods are completed and communicated to the appropriate departments for timely release and shipment.
- Ensure production equipment and facilities are maintained to support safe, compliant, and efficient operations, coordinating maintenance, repairs, contractors, and third-party technicians as required.
- Develop, implement, and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for the Production department. Regularly review results, communicate performance to the team and Management, and implement corrective actions where targets are not being met.
- Strong working knowledge of encapsulation equipment, including the ability to set up, operate, troubleshoot, and oversee encapsulation processes and equipment.

Experience

- Proven experience in manufacturing or production management within a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with ERP systems for managing and planning production.
- Experience leading teams, fostering collaboration, and driving a culture of continuous improvement
- Excellent problem-solving skills combined with a proactive approach to operational challenges
